Biographical/Historical note
Bruce Bobick, art professor at West Georgia College, started the annual Carrollton Regional Juried Art Exhibition in 1984. It was held at Neva Lomason Memorial Library. His goal was to “try to raise the standards and level of interest in the visual arts of the general public in the West Georgia area by exposing the public to a wide variety of competent art.” In addition, he sought to “give the visual artist a chance to bring her/his work to the attention of the public and fellow artists.”
