Bowdon College was founded in 1857 and was Georgia’s first coeducational institution and fifth chartered institution of higher education. Despite continual economic hardships, the college survived until the Depression when it was forced to close in 1936.
Collection contains administrative records of the Carroll County Genealogical Society, including bulletins, clippings, meeting minutes, financial statements, and a scrapbook.
The Carroll County Humane Society (CCHS) is a non-profit organization that was founded in 1970. The CCHS strives to educate the community about the humane treatment of animals, enforce laws to ensure proper care of animals, and provide safe, loving homes for as many animals as possible.
Records of the Carroll Service Council, a non-profit organization that developed assistance programs in the areas of religion, industry, public welfare, education, and agriculture throughout Carroll County from 1942 to 1968.
