Biographical / Historical

Jon Knowles earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from Harvard College in 1960 and a Master’s degree from the University of California at Berkeley in 1966. His career included teaching English and English as a Second Language (ESL), working as a medical transcriptionist, and as the proprietor of ABCZ Software. In 1999, he joined TransDimensional Systems, one of the early commercial remote viewing companies, as a remote viewer. The company closed in March 2003. Knowles then worked for the Aurora RV Group (2005-2008) and the Applied Precognition Project (2012-2016). In 2017, Knowles published Remote Viewing from the Ground Up, which tells the story of TransDimensional Systems from his viewpoint – from novice, trainee in the “Bananaslam” program, viewer and project manager, and then Training Coordinator.
