The Southeastern Library Network (SOLINET) was a non-profit corporation headquartered in Atlanta, Georgia. The membership grew from 99 charter members to 106 academic and public libraries in ten southeastern states. Eighteen Georgia institutions were members. The objectives of SOLINET were to improve access to information and reduce the acceleration of costs for information services. Its mission was to improve institutions' ability to maintain long-term, cost-effective access to information resources in both traditional and networked collections by providing education and training, information and referral, consultations, cooperative microfilming, and regional coordination. In 2009, SOLINET and PALINET (and NELINET) merged to form Lyrasis, effective April 1.

Lyrasis hosts technology services for libraries, archives, museums, and research organizations worldwide. Its mission is to work with knowledge professionals to create, support, and deliver innovative programs, services and technologies that allow for equitable access to the world's knowledge and cultural heritage.
