Biographical / Historical
The Honors Program began at West Georgia College in the Fall of 1975. In December of 1998, a proposal for the Honors College was drafted due to a need to enhance efforts to attract, educate, and recognize academically talented undergraduate students. In June of 1999, the Honors College was established at State University of West Georgia. The Honors College offers courses and class conversions in most disciplines such as biology, history, psychology, and more.
