Scope and Contents
The Phi Kappa Phi records primarily consist of initiate files containing academic evaluations and scholastic achievement. There are also invitations, programs for intiation ceremonies, by-laws, meeting minutes, newsletters, records of chapter activity, and scholarship information. This collection also contains the framed charter for the chapter.

Biographical / Historical
Phi Kappa Phi recognizes and promotes academic excellence in all fields of higher education and engages the community of scholars in service to others. The West Georgia chapter was installed on May 21, 1973. Active members of the local chapter are predominantly members of the faculty and staff of the university with the addition of student members who are still in the area. Membership in Phi Kappa Phi is by invitation only.
