The papers include digitized copies of audio-visual content that was converted in 2019. Particularly notable in the papers is Combs' correspondence with Carl Rogers discussing counseling, research ideas, opinions on drafts/published materials, and personal matters.

Biographical / Historical
Arthur Wright Combs, born in 1912, attended Ohio State University where he earned a Bachelor of Science, Master of Arts in School Counseling, and a Doctorate of Philosophy in Clinical Psychology with Carl Rogers served as his teacher and mentor. An educator and school psychologist in Alliance, Ohio, Arthur also worked as a teaching assistant at Ohio State University. Additionally, Arthur taught at and held leadership positions in multiple universities including Syracuse University, the University of Florida in Gainesville, and the University of Northern Colorado. He won many awards for his work in psychology and educational reform. With many publications bearing his name, Arthur contributed to numerous topics in psychology and education.
