Biographical / Historical
Donald L. Levans was born in 1931 on a small farm in west Georgia. After completing two years of college while experiencing the "home front" of World War II, he decided, at the age of 19, to join the United States Air Force during the Cold War and Korean Conflict. After serving two and a half years in Europe, he returned to college and graduated.
