Biographical/Historical note
The role of the Planning Council at West Georgia College was to advise the President on long-range development and the creation of plans extending three or more years into the future. A main priority was the reorganization of the leadership structure of West Georgia College. The Planning Council served from 1971 through the fall of 1974 and was chaired by Newt Gingrich.
