Biographical / Historical
Ingram Library’s Special Collections began to assemble subject files (originally called “vertical files”) for ease of researchers. The original vertical files also contained biographical files which have been separated into another collection. The subject files became a distinct collection in 2015. These University of West Georgia subject files were separated from the original collection (LH-0042) in 2019.

Immediate Source of Acquisition
Compiled by librarians in Ingram Library’s Special Collections. In 2019, a group of miscellaneous university records boxes were processed, the bulk of which became new subject files. Additions made continuously thereafter.

Ingram Library’s Special Collections continues to add materials to the subject files on a regular basis.
